Since about mid-November, we have been seeing advertisements for Discovery+ and the streaming app. And I was kinda jazzed about it. Most of the television that Tracie and I watch is on the Discovery Network, Hallmark and sports. Quite literally, with the exception of those three areas, we could cancel the rest of the channels from our cable TV provider.
When we looked at “cutting the wire” for cable TV however, to get all the sports, movies and shows that we like, the individual subscriptions came up to more than what we were paying for the cable. So that was tabled.
So this is about one particular show. “The Aquarium” on Discovery+. We went to the Georgia Aquarium in July of 2017. Had a blast! But it was expensive for admission. We were kind of taken back by the price of tickets. About $35.00 per person.
However, after watching, only the first few episodes of this series I fully understand the cost! I would guess that for every person you see near the displays, there are at least 8 more behind the scenes taking care of the animals. And the amount of care given is mind boggling!
If you don’t have Discovery+ and like these types of shows, get it. If you haven’t been to the Georgia Aquarium GO. And this show in conjunction with your visit will blow you away.
